Why I Love This DIY Hand Sanitizer

When I realized I was going to have to make our own hand sanitizer, I was a little worried about finding a recipe that would help sanitize our hands, but also not dry them out. And this recipe did not disappoint!

Not only does the alcohol clean and disinfect your hands, but the aloe in the hand sanitizer solution leaves your hands feeling soft.

When You Should Make Your Own Hand Sanitizer

As I write this post, we’re in the midst of the Corona Virus and there are no stores that have hand sanitizer (or toilet paper 🤣). And while we should all wash our hands as a number one safety protocol, sometimes it’s nice to have hand sanitizer on hand.

In between washing your hands, hand sanitizer is the best way to keep yourself safe from the germs you come in contact with.

The times you should be using it include:

  • Interactions at cash registers
  • Drive-Thru interactions
  • After touching doorknobs
  • After shaking hands
  • If you cough or sneeze
  • If you’re in a public place
  • After using a public restroom

When you think about it, there are a lot of things that you touch every day where you could easily pick up germs and viruses. And if you’re using hand sanitizer properly, then you should be using a lot of it.

So when you just can’t find hand sanitizer in the stores or you would rather make your own hand sanitizer, this DIY Hand Sanitizer recipe is just what you need!
