My Big List of Goals I’m Going to Accomplish in 2022 Week 30 of 52
Posted by admin on
Here’s my big list of things I want to accomplish in 2022:
Remodel The Kitchen
The new faucet arrived in record time and the electrician made it out last week as well. He took a look at everything that needed to be done and said he’d be out in about 2 weeks to get it all done.
Once he’s done with his part we’ll be able to finish the kitchen demo, patch up the walls and paint. Then, sometime in September the cabinet guys will install their bit. Exciting!
Sell Enough Rugs to Buy an AGA Stove DONE!!!
Well I did it!!! I finally hit my goal of selling enough of my 2022 hooked rugs and pillows in my Etsy shop to pay for my new Duck Egg Blue AGA cooker.
Now I’ve shifted to saving up for a “research trip” to England to find the perfect scone {so I can duplicate it in my new oven}. Because seriously, life would be boring without goals.
Fill the Canning Cupboard
I made a batch of peach jam this week to add to the canning cupboard. I think I have enough jam now to get us through the winter.
So far this year I have canned:
- Raspberry Blueberry Jam
- Carrot Cake Jam
- Strawberry Lemon Jam
- Blueberry Lime Jam
- Strawberry Jam
- Cinnamon Rhubarb Jam
- Pickled Asparagus
- Ginger Pear Jam
- Spiced Christmas Jam
- Cranberry Sauce
- Split Pea and Ham Soup
- Beef Stew
Not canned, but in jars:
Earn Enough Money Selling {?????} To Pay For Our 2022 Grocery Tab By The End Of The Year.
I’ve decided to wait until fall to list my beach finds.
Eat More Fruits and Vegetables.
This past week is was super easy to fill our plates with fresh fruits and vegetables thanks to our garden and The Duck Lady’s cast offs.
Keep The Crafts… In The Craft Room.
It wasn’t a good week for keeping the crafts out of the dining room. I dyed a bunch of wool {that still needs to be stacked and folded} and now have some mini ornaments on the table waiting to be painted.
Why is it that I always seem to gravitate to working at the kitchen table? Maybe because it’s in a spot where I can keep an eye on everything? I don’t know.
Tap Our 2 Maple Trees and Make Maple Syrup {DONE}
It was a good experience, and we’re going to do it again next year {although I would like to find a few more trees to tap so our yield is a bit higher}.
Make a Quilt Top
No progress on the quilt. I still need to finish counting squares {and cutting out white ones}.
Be More Intentional With My Time
Met up with our old neighbors for brunch. It was nice to catch up.
1 Craft / Blog Free Day {I’ve had 28 craft/blog free days this year so far.}
Yesterday I got up and headed out early with The Duck Lady to help Kiln Guy {who’s real occupation is/was a caterer} to help out at an island wedding. It was a long day and I totally fell into bed when I got home last night just before midnight, but it was interesting and a lot of fun too.
Keep My Husband Busy
The HH replaced the old can lights in the kitchen with retrofitted LED lights and let’s just say they look a lot better than the old ones.
And while can lights wouldn’t be my first choice for overhead lighting, it’s what we have and neither of us have any interest in having the ceiling torn up {and patched and painted} to have them replaced throughout the house.
At least with the new, updated lights, we aren’t looking at giant holes in the ceiling with an ugly flood light sticking out.
